Tamar Kalifon was born on 1987 in Kibbutz Tzuba in the Judean hills. Despite the close proximity to Jerusalem, the kibbutz maintains an agricultural, egalitarian and communal character, even to this day. Therefore, growing up in such an environment has shaped Tamar’s character, identity and world-views.
Tamar went to the Arts high-school in Jerusalem. The path to higher education naturally lead to the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design in Jerusalem. Her academic studies were lead by Israel’s noted artists, These have greatly contributed to Tamar’s professional development and love of the arts.
Since her graduation, Tamar has been exhibiting her art in venues, group-exhibitions as well as single-exhibitions. These include, among others, “Fresh Paint” contemporary art and design fair (2017), Whatever Comes to Your Hand exhibition (2016), Hotline Bling art and design exhibition, and more.
Nowadays Tamar continues to create and exhibit her art in various platforms and channels, in as well as outside of Israel.
